Recover Global Variables on MacOS

After the tragic passing of Alex Hay, Snailed It Development took over the running of his apps. In the process of moving Toolbox Pro from Alex’s Apple Developer Account, to ours, all Global Variable data was reset. We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience this causes our users.

If you have a Apple Mac, you can recover the Global Variable data from your Mac.

Open Keychain Access

Open Launchpad (or Spotlight) and search for “Keychain Access”

Search for Toolbox Pro variables

1. Ensure that the “login” Keychain is selected

2. Search for “com.alexhay.toolboxPro”

3. Open each of the items

Access Variable Info

• The name of the variable is in the “Account” field

• The value of each variable can be seen by checking “Show password” and entering your Mac’s password
